- Wash & Decontaminate — Vehicle is washed and surface-decontaminated before machine work.
- Cut — A cutting compound levels the clear coat and removes defects.
- Polish — A finishing polish restores gloss and removes any cutting haze.
- Protect — Optional wax or sealant applied to lock in the finish.

What a Cut and Polish Actually Does
Over time, car paint picks up fine swirl marks from washing, light scratches, water spots and oxidation that make it look flat. A machine cut and polish removes a very thin layer of clear coat to level out those defects, then refines the surface to bring back depth and gloss. It’s a correction process, not a wax that washes off in a few weeks.
Because it removes clear coat, a cut and polish should be done by someone who can judge how much paint there is to work with. We assess the paint first and choose the compound and pad to suit.

Cut and Polish FAQs
Will it remove all scratches?
It removes defects in the clear coat. If you can catch a fingernail in a scratch, it’s probably too deep to polish out and will need a scratch repair or paint touch-up.
How often should I have it done?
Most cars only need a full cut and polish occasionally. Gentle washing and a protective wax or sealant keep the finish looking good in between.
Can you restore my headlights at the same time?
Yes. Headlight restoration is a popular add-on.
