Papakura is a straight run up the Southern Motorway to our Otahuhu workshop — around twenty minutes outside of peak, longer in it. We are honest about that: we are not your closest panel beater and we are not pretending to be.
What we are is a workshop that has been doing structural and insurance repair work in the same place since 2005, which is worth a drive for some jobs and not for others.
When it is worth coming to us
Structural and chassis damage. If the impact has moved the chassis or affected the vehicle’s structure, the repair needs computerised measuring equipment and a repair certificate afterwards. Not every workshop covers both ends of that. We do the structural repair here, and the certification is handled by our sister company Car Compliance in Otahuhu.
Insurance claims after a significant accident. For a major repair, the car is off the road for days or weeks regardless of which workshop does it, so the extra distance costs you one trip each way rather than daily inconvenience — and with a courtesy car and vehicle collection available, it may cost you no trips at all.
Rust that has gone beyond cosmetic. Cutting out and letting in new metal is a job worth choosing your workshop for.
When it probably is not
A scuffed bumper, a stone chip or a small dent is not worth a forty minute round trip. Use someone in Papakura or Takanini for those. We would rather say so than have you make the drive and feel it was not worth it.
