When a Touch-Up Is Enough
Stone chips on the bonnet, a scrape from a car-park pillar or a light scratch along a door don’t always need a full panel respray. If the damage is small and hasn’t spread, a careful touch-up seals the bare metal, stops rust from starting and brings the panel back to a clean finish for far less than a respray.
Every touch-up starts with matching the colour. We work from your car’s paint code and check the match against the panel before applying anything, because the same colour can fade differently over time.

Will a touch-up be invisible?
Small chips and light scratches can be blended so they’re very hard to spot. Larger or deeper damage may need a panel respray for a seamless result, and we’ll tell you which option suits before we start.
Why fix small chips at all?
A chip that goes through to bare metal lets moisture in. Left alone, it can turn into rust that needs a much bigger rust repair later.
What if the scratch is deeper?
Deeper scratches are covered by our car scratch repair service, and wider damage by spray painting. For dull paint without chips, a cut and polish may be all you need.
